Grant of licence for Integrated Hydrological Units of the United Kingdom - Web Service

• UKCEH grants to the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty free licence to use UKCEH web mapping services (for the purpose of this licence references to web mapping services include web feature services) displayed or accessible via this site, providing the use falls within the Permitted Use set out below and for no other purpose. The Licensee is not permitted to sub-license for any purpose.
• Use of the river name attribution attached to the individual catchment boundaries which constitute the web mapping service is separately licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) which is available here: http://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1.0/

Permitted use

• Where you are an individual user you may use the web mapping service for your own personal use.
• Where you are a corporate entity or partnership you may use the web mapping service within your organisation to support your organisation’s activities (Internal Business Use).
• You may disseminate publications and reports based upon the web mapping service to third parties, including to third party internet sites.
• You may display the web mapping service on your own internet sites subject to inclusion of the following copyright notices: © Database Right/Copyright UKCEH. Contains Ordnance Survey data © Crown copyright and database right 2014.
• For use of the web mapping service in scientific &/or academic publications, accepted scientific referencing conventions will apply and you will act reasonably in carrying out such referencing including the citation of any relevant key publications and Digital Object Identifiers identified in the metadata record for that web mapping service.
• In all cases such Permitted Use is limited to private study, bona fide research, educational and teaching activities, as well as the aforementioned Internal Business Use, all on a non-commercial basis. This is subject to appropriate acknowledgement and compliance with any other terms of use related to specific content, as stated in the Use Constraints element of the relevant metadata record.

Restrictions on use

Without prior written consent from UKCEH you may not:

• Use the web mapping service for any commercial purpose, financial profit or gain.
• Convert the raster images, or parts of the raster images, supplied via the web mapping service into another data format.
• Extract vector data from the web mapping services
